Authorised distribution channel
LucrativeIT is an authorised reseller of IT products sourced from South African distributors (including Esquire Technologies and other authorised distributors from time to time). Warranty assessments, DOA exchanges, and certain returns may therefore be processed through the relevant distributor’s RMA / authorised service processes and/or the manufacturer’s authorised service provider. LucrativeIT facilitates customer claims but remains subject to distributor and manufacturer approval where applicable.
1. Coverage
Unless stated otherwise in writing, products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty applicable to that product. Periods vary by brand and model and may be shown on quotations, invoices, product pages, or on request.
2. Warranty period
Generally starts on the LucrativeIT invoice/purchase date. Replacements usually continue the remaining original period unless the manufacturer states otherwise.
3. How to claim
Contact LucrativeIT before returning goods. Provide proof of purchase, invoice number, serial number, fault description, and photos. We will advise the authorised return process (which may include distributor RMA).
4. Assessment
Claims may be assessed by LucrativeIT, an authorised distributor (including Esquire Technologies where relevant), the manufacturer, or an authorised service centre. Assessment times vary.
5. Exclusions
Warranty does not cover accidental damage, physical impact, liquid damage, fire/smoke, lightning/surges, incorrect voltage, improper installation, negligence, abuse, overclocking, unauthorised modification, broken seals, cosmetic damage only, pest/environmental contamination, extreme temperatures, or improper storage.
Physically damaged items are not accepted for repair or exchange under typical distributor warranty rules, whether in or out of warranty, and may be returned as received.
6. Consumables
Cartridges, toner, batteries (including UPS/CMOS), thermal paste, blank media, fuses, lamps, and similar consumables generally have limited or no warranty except early manufacturing defects.
7. DOA
Report suspected DOA within 7 days of delivery, stop using the product, and retain packaging/accessories/invoice. Approval depends on verification and supplier policy.
8. Repairs and replacements
Repair may be required before replacement. Turnaround depends on parts and manufacturer workload. Discontinued products may be replaced with equivalents or another manufacturer-approved remedy.
9. Data
Back up all data before submitting equipment. LucrativeIT is not responsible for data loss, OS failure, or software licensing issues during assessment/repair.
10. Out-of-warranty repairs
May be quoted for inspection, labour, parts, and courier costs before work proceeds.
11. Limitations
Except where South African law requires otherwise, LucrativeIT does not add warranties beyond the manufacturer’s warranty and statutory rights. Approval does not mean immediate swap-out.
